IUIS – Innovative training programmes

IUIS brings together engineers, designers, business developers and clinicians to work on improving patients’ lives. This is the challenge accepted by IUIS, which leads, creates or co-organises multidisciplinary training and innovation health programmes.

Innovation Day

A day when patients, doctors and students meet. 
The same event is being organised in parallel across more than 10 other European universities. 
About 40 students, from several disciplines, along with patients and doctors share the issues that concern patients’ lives, then work together to find innovative solutions to improve the identified problems.

A multidisciplinary summer school. Students, companies, doctors, patients and researchers meet and tackle the challenges of innovation in the health sector, with conferences, round tables, workshops and an innovation challenge. Innovation in patient care, from clinical needs to patient usage.

IUIS FiT4Health

Clinical immersion: a new vision for innovation

Based on the approach of Stanford BioDesign and Need-Led Innovation Fellowship, the FiT4Health programme starts by analysing clinical needs (clinical immersion) in order to develop innovative health solutions through an innovation process that has proven to be effective in many countries, and now this year, for the first time in France, at Sorbonne University

Master of Science, Technologies and Health

Technology for medical systems and devices

IUIS is a partner of the Master of Science Degree in Technology and Health at Sorbonne University. The goal of this degree is to merge the disciplines of medicine and applied sciences in order to give students a dual skillset that will result in the medical technology of the future being developed now.
